Welcome to Adelaide Hills Pantry Newsletter ššæ
A fresh start always feels exciting, and launching Adelaide Hills Pantry is exactly thatāa way to slow down, soak up the stories, and share the heart of the Hills beyond social media.
Every Good Story (and Recipe) Starts Somewhere
A blank page. A kitchen bench dusted with flour. A winding road leading somewhere new. Every good story, every great meal, and every adventure starts with a first stepāand this is ours.
Adelaide Hills Pantry is a place to slow down and savour the best of the Hillsāseasonal food, creative projects, hidden trails, and the stories of the people who make this region special. Whether youāre here for a recipe, a craft idea, or just a little inspiration, Iām so glad youāre along for the ride.
1. Why this, why now
Weāve been sharing our love for the Adelaide Hills onĀ FacebookĀ andĀ InstagramĀ and hanging out with the 25,000 members of theĀ Adelaide Hills Roadside StallsĀ community. But social media moves fast. This space is forĀ slow storytelling, deeper connections, and savoured inspiration.
2. For Curious Makers, Bakers & Explorers
Iāve always been someone who loves to make, explore, and createāwhether thatās getting lost in a great book, cooking up something delicious, crafting with my hands, or heading out on an adventure. And I love doing all of it right here in the Adelaide Hills.
But I know Iām not the only one. Over the years, Iāve met so many like-minded people who share this love for food, craft, adventure, and creativity. This newsletter is for all of usāthose who find joy in the little things, who love discovering new places, and who feel most at home when theyāre making, baking, or exploring.
Every edition will be a mix of everything Iām up to, thinking about, or planning, whether Iām doing it myself or just excited to share it:
š Books Iām readingābecause a good read and a cup of tea go hand in hand
šØ Crafts & creative projectsāfrom pottery to DIY projects inspired by the Hills
ā°ļø Adventures, hikes & hidden spotsābecause nothing beats a weekend exploring
š„ Camping, road trips & slow escapesāthe best places to disconnect and unwind
š² Cooking & seasonal foodārecipes inspired by whatās fresh and local
šļø Things happening in the Hillsāevents, markets, workshops, and anything worth knowing
Some weeks it might be a recipe Iām obsessed with, other times itās a local makerās story, a new trail Iāve found, or an event I think others will loveāeven if I canāt make it myself.
This is a place to share, connect, and celebrate the things that bring joy. If any of this sounds like your kind of thing, Iād love for you to come along for the ride.
